Kulgam encounter: Terrorist killed, operation underway, says Army | KNO

Kulgam, Aug 02 (KNO): Army on Saturday said that an unidentified terrorist has been killed in an ongoing encounter in South Kashmir's Kulgam district. Pertinently, the encounter broke out between the security forces and terrorists in Akhal forests on Friday evening. Army's Srinagar based Chiar Corps, according to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) , in a post on X said," Intermittent and intense fire fight continued through the night. Alert troops responded with calibrated fire and tightened the noose while maintaining contact.A terrorist has been neutralised and the operation is on.”—(KNO)
